Tales of Companionship
My companionship with my Parsons Russell Terrier, Bazil, influenced this book and project. Our story began with going to Crufts in March 2015, then I got him in April 2015, but our story doesn’t stop there; it keeps going. His character showed, and our companionship has grown over the last 10 years, and many more to come. It was looking back at photos of our key memories that helped bring this project to light. He is an inspiration for me, as well as the photography I take, Understanding their dynamics allows me to anticipate and document genuine interactions, enriching the narrative of companionship. We see companionship with people every day and can express that with our words and photos. From friends and family to relationships, each being different from one person to the next. These connections shape our lives, offering support, joy, and shared experiences. Understanding these dynamics is crucial for personal growth and navigating social complexities. However, our bond with our animals is also essential, as they share unconditional love and unique emotional support. The love and support they share with us differ for each pair, but they can mean so much to those involved. Sometimes it allows an individual to lead a whole life and gain more from life than they would have without it.
